Prayer For Those Affected By Floods In Queensland

Posted on January 11, 2011 at 2:17 AM
Within Australia, and doubtless throughout the world, we are aware of the devastating floods that have ravaged Queensland and Northern New South Wales.  Thousands of miles away, living in another state of Australia, or for those in another country, we can feel quite helpless in these situations.  However, there is one thing we can do, and that is pray.  Today, I would encourage all our visitors to join me in praying for those who have been affected by these floods.  Sadly, there has been loss of life, and our prayers are with the family members and friends of those who mourn loved ones.  There are those who have lost their homes and belongings, livestock and livelihoods, and our prayers are for them as they grieve their material losses.  There are the search and rescue men and women, risking their lives to save others.  In some cases, they will come across deceased persons.  Of course, after the floodwaters have come and gone, there will be the difficult task of cleaning up and re-building.  If you have a personal message to pass on to the people affected by these floods, please message me and I will ensure it gets through to them.  Please join me in prayer.
"God of creation, You created water for life, yet water can also destroy life.  Please bless those whose lives and livelihoods are compromised by water in this recent flooding in the state of Queensland, and also Northern New South Wales.  Comfort those grieving, angry, homeless, and afraid; be with them and remind that that, despite this crisis, You will never leave them or forsake them, though it may feel this way.  Father God, please bless those affected by flood waters with new life and help, that with Your help they may be able to move on from this terrible disaster.  Amen."

We can feel that God is with us even at times like disaster, climate change and floods. Praying can help people who are devastated. The most required thing in praying is faith that He will answer all your desires. You may doubt sometimes because He still made us suffer from bad things, but one thing is for sure, it is still part of His plan and will. It takes faith to receive an answer to God so the best thing to do is to strengthen your faith.

Never blame God for the disasters that you are having. God will work there and He will save and cure people who are affected. We may face different things that can make our faith tight, God will always make a way. I am praying that all of the damages will be restored. Not just the physical damages, but even the emotional damages that it caused. At times like that, choose to believe in God more, he will surely help you.

There are times that will make us down, sometimes we think that no one is giving some sympathy to us. We do not know that only God can help us during that kind of situation. Disasters can make us kneel down, but as we kneel we must also pray that this hardship will end. We must put in our mind that it is part of God’s challenge to us. We can surpass that and God will not let us suffer so much.
