Downunder, we are now approaching the end of Autumn, and about to enter Winter. In the northern hemishphere, you are getting ready for Summer. If I had a choice, I think I would prefer the warmth to the cold. However, I don't like it too hot. In Australia, it can get pretty hot. Although the two hemishperes have different seasons, thankfully it does not mean that Christians are different, for we are all one in Christ Jesus - no matter where we live.
I am amazed when I see visitors from all over the world on our website stats page. But stats don't allow me to get to know you personally. I would really appreciate it if you could send an email or leave a comment, letting me know just who you are and what brought you to this website. Tell me what God is doing in your life.
I must confess I have been slack in writing blogs over the past couple of months. I am still reading my Bible in a year, but I have not kept up with the blogging. So here I am again, letting you know God is good all the time, and that all the time God is good.
God bless, Peter

Here at Beautiful Saviour Ministries, we would like to acknowledge that today is Australia Day. For our overseas visitors, Australia Day commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet of 11 convict ships from Great Britain, and the raising of the Union Jack at Sydney Cove by its commander Captain Arthur Phillip, in 1788. The Reverend Richard Johnson was also a part of the First Fleet, and on Sunday, February 3, 1788, he preached the first sermon in Australia. His text came from Psalm 116:12. This is what he read in his KJV Bible. “What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me?” The NLT says this in my Bible. “What can I offer the Lord for all He has done for me?” Evangelical Christianity was there at the beginning of the formation of this nation we call Australia, and please God it will continue as we long for revival in what has been referred to as “The Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.”
For further reading on the Christian heritage of Australia, please go to the following website:
Let us pray for this nation of Australia and her people. We need prayer here as much as anyone else throughout the world does. I would ask on this January 26 you spend a moment praying that God will be honoured in Australia and that we would see an outpouring of His Holy Spirit throughout this land. Please continue to pray for those who have suffered much from the floodwaters that have ravaged parts of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.

Within Australia, and doubtless throughout the world, we are aware of the devastating floods that have ravaged Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Thousands of miles away, living in another state of Australia, or for those in another country, we can feel quite helpless in these situations. However, there is one thing we can do, and that is pray. Today, I would encourage all our visitors to join me in praying for those who have been affected by these floods. Sadly, there has been loss of life, and our prayers are with the family members and friends of those who mourn loved ones. There are those who have lost their homes and belongings, livestock and livelihoods, and our prayers are for them as they grieve their material losses. There are the search and rescue men and women, risking their lives to save others. In some cases, they will come across deceased persons. Of course, after the floodwaters have come and gone, there will be the difficult task of cleaning up and re-building. If you have a personal message to pass on to the people affected by these floods, please message me and I will ensure it gets through to them. Please join me in prayer.
"God of creation, You created water for life, yet water can also destroy life. Please bless those whose lives and livelihoods are compromised by water in this recent flooding in the state of Queensland, and also Northern New South Wales. Comfort those grieving, angry, homeless, and afraid; be with them and remind that that, despite this crisis, You will never leave them or forsake them, though it may feel this way. Father God, please bless those affected by flood waters with new life and help, that with Your help they may be able to move on from this terrible disaster. Amen."

Today marks the beginning of Beautiful Saviour Ministries.
Neither Sarah or I are sure where this will go, but we do know God is going there with us.
I will be starting a series of weekly Bible Studies on this page, which I encourage you to partcipate in. I'd also invite you to submit study ideas at any time.
We'd love to know what God is doing in your life, so if you have a testimony to share with us, please do.
We're here to encourage and grow each other in the love and knowledge of Jesus our Beautiful Saviour.
This song is the inspiration for the name of the site. Take a few minutes to meditate on the words.
